    Hi,

We are using WPI and GD v2.

We’d like to send people a reminder email, 2 weeks prior for the auto-renew to occur.
So they have a chance to cancel the subscription.

    How can we do that?

    Thanks,

There is no option for that yet, but is being considered as part of the GD Pricing Manager. Thanks

Renewal emails are sent to packages that require manual renewal, because the user has only paid and agreed to one period.

Renewal emails are not sent if a user has already agreed to be re-billed as part of a recurring package.

    Thanks

If you want to send renewal notices, do not create recurring packages.
Just create a package that lasts for a year, but is not automatically being renewed.
Make sure NOT to tick the recurring option.
    Thanks

But in this case people have to manually pay again, once they get the reminder by email, isn’t it?

Our idea is that they give consent to an automatic renewal.

    Is this possible?

    EXAMPLES

    OPTION A:

“Dear customer, your subscription is about to expire, please click here to allow auto-renewal”

    OPTION B:

“Dear customer, your subscription is about to AUTO-RENEW, please click here to CANCEL IT if you do not wih it anymore”.

Is any of those two options possible?

    Thanks,

They gave consent when signing up in the beginning …

Option B is being considered as part of the GD Pricing Manager.

    Thanks

Ok, so in this case, and meanwhile you consider option B (to “cancel” the recurring payment) we would untick the recurring checkbox.

If we do so, what should we expect?

Will the user receive a notice to manually pay again for another year?

Or is the payment automatic if he clicks something?

    Thanks for clarifying that.

For non-recurring packages, the user will receive an invoice.
The invoice will have a link to pay.
If not paid, the listing will expire.
