PayPal Account Mandatory?

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I did a test checkout and PayPal is insisting that I create a PayPal account to checkout. I wanted to pay with a credit card.

    It that mandatory to checkout?

    Creating a PayPal account should only be required if you have a recurring item.
    A once off invoice should be able to be paid with a credit card using PayPal.

    Sometimes you also get that if your browser remembers you have a PayPal account, so try an incognito window or another browser or delete your cookies.

    I tested this again. I created a new account and then created a featured listing. At checkout, when I was directed to PayPal, I had to create a PayPal account to proceed. I could not pay with a credit card without creating a PayPal account.

    This is a problem for my customers.

    Hello!

    One note: Be absolutely certain you are using a separate browser. Paypal detects your past visits and will display the login/create dialogue unless you are a ‘fresh’ visitor.
