    Hello,

    In these settings…
    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpinv-settings&tab=emails&section=completed_invoice

    … I have
    Hi {first_name},
Thanks for your payment to {site_title}.

When receiving the email, there is no first name but there is a site title.
    I change it to
    Hi {name}…
And the full name appears in the received email. It’s very formal. We’d like to just use first names if possible.

    Is this a bug?
    How do I fix it?

    Thanks
    🙂

    Hi,

It is working fine on our side. It may be possible the user has no first name and last name in his profile. Can you check from the admin side by going into users menu and edit user page if users’ first name is set or not?

Please provide us the admin and FTP details in private reply to troubleshoot the issue and fix it.

    Regards,
    Patrik

{first_name} works on my test site. Make sure the customer really has a first name set.

If that isn’t it, please send over WP Admin credentials in a private reply along with login URL so we can check it out.

Hello and thanks for your replies. I was testing the plugin with my own email address and, although I had entered my first & last name in the invoice fields, I had no first/last name set in my profile – just as you said. Aha! Problem solved 🙂
