VAT can be tricky, has to be exact, yes.Please make a private reply and include WP Admin credentials and the login URL so we can check out that issue.
The settings for guest/not logged in checkout do work.
If they are not setup correctly they will bar visitors from seeing the invoice if they are not the user for which the invoice was created.

Please tell us the steps to take and provide WP Admin and login url in a private reply.For clarification, subscriptions/recurring items can only be purchased one item at a time, and so they cannot be combined with either 1) other recurring items or 2) other non-recurring items.

You can adjust EU VAT settings as needed, and on the page
Invoicing – Settings – Misc – Field Settings – Force show company name at checkout
This option will show the company and VAT for the customer even if you have disabled (most) other tax settings.
For the text you can try
Invoicing – Settings – Tools – Label Texts – Invoice notice or label

You can set your gateway to test and try a test transaction in off hours, that’s the way to make sure if it is working or not. What happens when you do that?
What do you mean, an inline image? Logo?
Or do you mean attaching another file to the invoice email?
Or to the invoice itself?FWIW, in my experience your best bet is to place a link to the file in a note to the customer. You can use the notes section of the invoice to send a message.

I was able to create an invoice for a user that does not exist. The user received an email, was asked to change their password, and could then follow links for the invoice and quote and see them both.
Please specify the steps we should take to recreate the issue, including which accounts are being used to create and receive/open the invoices and quotes.
