Possible to not generate invoice for certain items?

Hi there,
We have several GD packages created and some of them are free.
All GD packages are as expected replicated and linked to WP Invoicing as items, which works great.
We have just recently gone through an upgrade to GD V2.
Prior to the update, no invoices were sent to free items whereas now post update invoices with $0 are also sent.

One of the items/ packages we use as a front end tool for overseas data generators as we don’t want them to have access to our backend. However now we are generating an invoice for every new place created which is causing us issues.

Is there a setting where I can stop the WP Invoicing plugin from generating invoices for certain items only?
I noticed that each item has a publish, draft etc. setting, if I set the item to Draft mode will this have the desired effect of not generating invoices for that particular item only?
