I see from this blog post that you are working on integrating the Members plugin with Invoicing:

How can this principle (paid members, subscriptions, etc) be integrated with your UsersWP plugin?

    Thanks

    Hello!

You can read about UsersWP features here:

    https://userswp.io/features-list/

By default, UsersWP doesn’t provide any ‘members only’ features. However, the Members plugin, which is free, makes it very easy to add content that is only visible/accessible to members with specific roles.

Our focus in the beta is on members with experience managing paid membership sites comparing the paid membership setup, fulfillment, and recurring payments.

    Hi Alex,

I should have been clearer with my question – I am not interested in using the Members plugin.

Please can you explain how your plugins UsersWP and WPInvoicing are (or can be) integrated. For example (and only by using these two plugins), how can I charge $5 for someone to register on a website using UsersWP and WPInvoicing to manage the registration and payment?

I’m sure this must be simple to achieve.

    Thanks

    Hello!

    UsersWP does not have roles.

You can use WPInvoicing to sell a role created with the Members plugin, as described in the Beta

Ok, but I am not looking to sell a specific role within WordPress, just integrate WPInvoicing with UsersWP and require users to pay $5 to register with the site using a default WordPress role – this is a simple request which doesn’t need Members (or any other plugin) and should be easy enough given that both plugins are made by the same company.

It has zero integration with UWP at the moment.
Just now we are just testing the selling of roles and post content, once we are happy with that we will move on to other integrations.

    Thanks,

It’s strange that you would integrate third party plugins before your own. Given that both UsersWP and WPInvoicing boast a high level of extensibility, how can this requirement be achieved using the current architecture (hooks, filters, classes, etc).

    Thanks

    Hello!

Paid Member sites have a wide variety of configurations.

What we are doing with Paid Members Addon) Beta is enabling users of Invoicing to sell a role. It could be any role.

In fact, you could set up “Members” plugin to give your new user registrations no permissions, for example. Maybe not even enough permissions to see a link to their profile, for example.

Then, you invite the users to purchase a Paid Membership, whereby they get a new role, and that new role can then, for example, access a link to their UWP profile.
