I have a problem when user select “trial” package, has to enter Credit Card info, but usually they don’t, however they are able to submit listing anyway. These invoices without Credit card info, have no payment due date.
Trial listings are under “pending” status in admin, but when they receive “submitted successfully” email/link, click on it you can see the listing. Manually publish is time consuming, since most of them don’t want to pay after that. Am i missing something? Please advise
ThanksJanuary 5, 2020 at 11:41 pm #3880If you manually publish listings that have not completed payment details like credit card details, you are giving your listings away for free.
The default is that listings with completed payment details are published automatically, so there is no need to review them.
Thanks
January 6, 2020 at 6:49 pm #3883I understand, but they are able to bypass Credit cards processing and submit the listing. The invoice is created for them though. I guess the only way is, to avoid this is to stop trial.
How can i create a “banner only” package, for those who already have a listing? All the listing pre-designed fields can not be remove. ThanksJanuary 6, 2020 at 7:25 pm #3884Now i see, unpaid listings keep comming in “pending” status. Nobody is paying but they can submit it…it should not allow to submit at all. It’s a mess.
January 6, 2020 at 10:13 pm #3885All the listing pre-designed fields can be set to non-active.
And they can be excluded from the GD price packages too.Stopping the trial will not stop the submissions being made, but they will go to “pending” again.
That is how WP works, it is the submission that triggers the payment requirement, and payment will set it to “published”.Invoice reminders will be sent if they do not pay [depending on your Invoicing setup], so just leaving the submissions as pending allows for later payment.
Thanks
January 7, 2020 at 5:39 am #3886The pending status has no expiration date, so no note will be sent. The “Expire date” custom field does Not lock in automatically the date, as claimed???
When i leave this field in a front, users insert 2044, so it’s showing expire in 2044, or something.
Only when listing is published, than showing assigned expiration date within package settings. So the pending listings keep coming without any expiration date. What should be, no listing submitted without payment. It should say “sorry, your listing can not be published….or something…January 7, 2020 at 8:00 am #3887Invoice payment reminders are not to same as listing expiry notices.
You can set the “expire date” to “admin only”.
It will be filled in when payment is made. You can add a notice to the checkout page or other page to state that unpaid listings are not published.
January 7, 2020 at 9:10 pm #3892First, this is not correct: All the listing pre-designed fields can NOT be set to non-active. And they can Not be excluded from the GD price packages.
Predesigned fields: Import from social, Title, Description, Address..etc.- cant be removed or excluded and we do not need them with simple banner request add.
Second! Very important! I do not need pending listings without payment. Simple, you go any website, can’t submit anything until insert credit card information.
And third, when i asked the question about invoicing subscription for the plugin, you told me contact wpinvoicing about that. I knew it that you’re same people associated with this addon, but why would you trying to confuse?..January 7, 2020 at 10:22 pm #3893First, this is not correct: All the listing pre-designed fields can NOT be set to non-active. “Import from Social” can be set to non-active by de-activating the plugin or at
GD > Settings > Social Importer tab > Enable post type for Post To Facebook > Remove any CPT you do not want there.Address can be set to non-active by going to
Places > Settings > General tab > Show Advanced > Disable physical location? > YESSecond! Very important! I do not need pending listings without payment. Simple, you go any website, can’t submit anything until insert credit card information.
That may be how it looks on the frontend, but the database will be collecting the steps of the submission, just like it does in WordPress. You do NOT have to set “pending review” listings to “published”. There is no other way to make it work.
And third, when i asked the question about invoicing subscription for the plugin, you told me contact wpinvoicing about that. I knew it that you’re same people associated with this addon, but why would you trying to confuse?..
I am not sure where I said to contact WPinvoicing, but it makes more sense that Invoicing questions are answered at Invoicing Support, and GeoDirectory questions are answered at GeoDirectory Support. For example, all the questions about custom fields and submission are really GeoDirectory questions, but there is no problem answering them here for you.
Thanks
