I have noticed it takes 20ish seconds to redirect to confirmation page after Stripe has approved the payment.I dont see delay on any other page loading.

It is not taking much time but it will take at least few seconds to connect to stripe.com as we are using the remote calls to create customer, plan and charge on stripe.com so that will take few seconds to proceed.

PatrikAugust 28, 2019 at 12:02 pm #3424I dont think these timing are normal, following are the load time this morning, these load times are after Stripe has approved the transaction.
Loaded 2019-08-28 06:55:08.266(Firefox add-on Load Times)
Load Time 33.34 s
Redirect 31.87 s
Domain Lookup 1 ms
Connect 0 ms
Wait for Response 572 ms
Response 159 ms
DOM Processing 875 ms
Parse 203 ms
Execute Scripts after Parsing 538 ms
DOMContentLoaded Event 86 ms
Wait for Sub Resources 48 ms
Load Event 3 msAugust 29, 2019 at 1:41 pm #3431With a lack of response to my last message, I guess, I can assume this 30+ seconds load/redirect is by design and no desire or willingness to make it better. Stripe add-on in current state is not usable on any live site. Do I need to explore alternatives?
August 29, 2019 at 1:48 pm #3432Hi,
As there is an update on stripe API regarding SCA, we are currently working on it and it will change the flow and API requests. We will surely look into reducing the time as well while implementing the things.

PatrikAugust 29, 2019 at 2:48 pm #3433Any ETA?
Any chance Flow/checkout steps will be reduced?August 29, 2019 at 2:56 pm #3434Just to make sure this is 100% clear, 30+ seconds is not at all what we see as the standard across thousands of websites.
This, as far as I know, is happening ONLY on your website.
Because your site loading times are very erratic, I would definitely consider moving to a better server and you’ll see that the stripe add/on works just fine.

I wouldn’t wait for the new version, because on that server, most likely it’ll still be slow.
Thanks
August 29, 2019 at 3:53 pm #3435It is always easy to point at host or server config, my normal load times on my site is under 4 seconds, it is only on during last step of checkout where it takes 30+ seconds.
it is disappointing support, I will explore my other options.August 29, 2019 at 9:06 pm #3436I’m sorry if you don’t like my answer, but I think I’m spot on.
In your case, it is indeed very easy to point out the hosting provider as the problem.
Normal load times on your site is under 4 seconds from your location (which is already quite bad).
You need to consider that Stripe servers are most likely not near your location.
For example, half of the IP of Stripe.com for webhooks are hosted in Amazon servers near Seattle.
Your website home page from Seattle loads in 17.1 seconds.
It is not hard to imagine that it’ll take up to 30 seconds to complete a financial transaction.
If you prefer to ignore our advice, feel free to look for alternatives, you’ll most likely get the exact same results.
Thanks
