    Where are you clicking renew listing link?
    I think customer clicked upgrade link…

    Yes, he was checking the renewals to check on the renewal dates. Upgrading starts a new product/subscription and the days leftover do not carryover.

    The trigger to add the renew link to the website and the trigger to send the first renew email is the same one, so if the renew link pops up 29 days before expiry, then the email will be sent at the same time.
    The difference between the 30 days set and the 29 days in your test, is probably just because of some time settings.

    Users cannot renew before the expiry notice, only upgrade.
    If they upgrade and you want to give them extra days from their old package, then you can do that manually.
