Reading docs, it says “To remove an item from the invoice use the X at the end of the row.”

However, there is no ‘x’ at the end of the row on items in invoices. (see screencap)

There are no errors in dev tools.

Dev Tools > Elements does seem like there something at the end of the row < td class=”action” >< /td > == $0 but there is nothing actually visible there.

Any idea on what I need to do to get a ‘remove’ x to display?

    Thanks.

Invoices need at least one item, no X will appear if there is only one item.

    Hey Alex,

That totally makes sense. But here’s what happened. I added the wrong item to the invoice (Item ‘A’ – which was recurring). I then tried to add the right Item (‘B’).

It then gave me an error = “You can not add item because recurring item must be paid individually!”

So I was not even able to add a second item to then see the “x” to remove the first wrong item.

That only left me with the ability to trash the invoice and start all over.

Is there a better/different way I should have tried to resolve?

    Thanks.

No, that is how it works at this time. It does not allow more than one recurring item at a time.

    And that also makes sense.

I guess I’m just saying that as the Invoice is being created, providing access to the remove ‘x’ – even if there is only one item on the invoice – would be a better user experience.

Obviously you’re not going to allow an invoice to be saved without an item. But it would be good to have the ability to resolve an incorrect item placement without trashing the entire invoice to start over.

    Something to pass along.

    Thanks for the explanation.

I have spoken about this with the developers in the past and they are aware of the issue. They are looking into workarounds. Thanks for the feedback, we listen to all of it!

I know you guys listen. And that’s why I always test your plugins when I’m looking to add functionality. Testing WPInvoice now and looking to re-test the updated UsersWP when it hits (supposed to be soon…)

    Thanks!
