Feature request: Send payment notifications only on first payment (no renewals)

Hi Guys,

We’ve been using WP Invoicing quite a bit. It’s an awesome plugin! We have one feature request, which perhaps others would find useful as well.

When an invoice is paid, the customer is sent a notification (there is a setting to turn this ON and OFF). This is good, but we would like to be able to send these receipts ONLY the first time someone makes a payment, not every time their subscription renews. We don’t believe in sending monthly payment reminders to our customers, as this will only encourage cancellations.

If you look at most subscription businesses–Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Deezer among others–they do not provide a monthly receipt to their subscribers, only the first time they are billed, or in the case where they are billed annually. It would be nice if GeoDirectory and WP Invoicing could offer this option, to avoid reminding customers of a monthly payment which they already know about. We just don’t think this is good in terms of retaining subscriptions, however, we do want to provide a receipt the first time someone signs up and makes a payment.
