Yes, It means people will have to write VAT number obligatorily if they are from the same country as a base country you have set in the invoicing settings.

Hi,

Make sure you have enabled the Tax from Settings->Taxes->Enable Taxes. You have to make sure Enable VAT Rules is checked in Settings->Taxes->EU VAT Settings. If you think your customers are from the same country and you want to ask for VAT number then you have to set the Same Country Rule to Always apply VAT. If you just want to get the VAT number from your customer but don’t want to enable tax based on that then you can add an extra field by customization also but you will need to hire a developer for that as we don’t provide support for customization here.

Let us know the admin details of your website so that we can look into your settings if this doesn’t work for you.

}

Please note this will fix FA issue for Shortcodes Ultimate plugin only.

Hi,

There is a setting to Apply the VAT for the same country as the base country. Go to Invoicing->Settings->Taxes->Same Country Rule and select Always apply VAT. Let me know if this works for you or not.
