GetPaid has no partial payments feature, but you can add your own status as a label. It takes two filters in a small custom plugin or code snippet:
- Register the status with the
getpaid_register_invoice_post_statusesfilter. Add a key such aswpi-partialwith the same arguments you would pass toregister_post_status(). - Add the same key and its label to the
wpinv_statusesfilter so it appears in the invoice status dropdown.
GetPaid only counts Paid, Processing and Renewal invoices as paid, so an invoice with your new status still counts as unpaid and the customer can still pay the full amount online. Any amount actually received has to be tracked by you.
Yes, with a template override. A GetPaid invoice opens on its own full page template, wpinv-invoice-print.php, which prints the whole HTML page itself, so your theme’s header, footer and sidebar are not loaded.
- Copy
templates/wpinv-invoice-print.phpfrom the GetPaid plugin folder toyour-child-theme/invoicing/wpinv-invoice-print.php. - Build the layout you want around the
do_action( 'getpaid_invoice', $invoice )line, which prints the invoice. - To change only the invoice itself, copy
templates/invoice/invoice.phptoyour-child-theme/invoicing/invoice/invoice.phpinstead.
